Kaleidoscope Project

This project certainly required a lot of steps. I started out by taking a picture of this plant with berries on it. I thought the berries would look really cool if they were all different colors.

Here is the original 4x4 Image

I started out by creating a color pallet of all my favorite colors. I created two shades of green because I wanted one of the four variations to be distinguished by two shades of green on the leaves. Actually, after taking this screen shot, I added a royal blue to the pallet.

I then started tracing the leaves and filling them with the different shades of green. Then, I chose white for the stroke color on the veins. I thought it made the picture "pop." Then I began filling each berry with different colors:

After that, I did four variations. I kept all the berries the same color but changed the color of the leaves each time. I copied them all into an 8x8 project and came up with this:

Since this picture features all of my favorite colors, I like it. I also like the negative space that pops out when looking at it.

Logo Concept

Here is the logo I created based off the previous sketches I posted. It represents several things:
1. As I mentioned in my first post, I have a miniature pig named Annabelle. Anyone that knows me knows that I have a pig, so I think that aspect of this logo accurately represents me.
2. I work at RSU Radio so that is where the headphones come into the picture. The crossed eyes on the pig imply that the music in the headphones are loud.
3. And finally, I wanted to incorporate the cross as well because it represents a huge part of my life.

I combined the shapes of the ears with the head to make a continuous shape. Everything else was created using shape tools. I'm getting used to this Illustrator thing!

If there is any icon in the world that represents me, it's this one.

The ideal logo for me would probably be a pig with headphones on. I like the cartoon face on the pig below. It's silly and I like it. Also, I would put the headphones below over its head. I would also try to incorporate other items from my word list into the logo, such as piano notes or a cross.

Vector Art

This is the vector art I created using Illustrator. This was my first time ever using the program and from what I noticed, a lot of the controls/commands are very similar to Photoshop.

About Me

My name is Paige DeLozier and I am a senior here at RSU. I am a Radio/Television major but have a strong interest in graphic design, which is my minor. I work for a local photographer in my hometown as a sports composite editor. I also work for my hometown newspaper as a sports photographer. I have Adobe Creative Cloud and spend time on some type of program everyday. Currently, I am building a website using Adobe Muse. My favorite programs are Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere.

I have two younger sisters, Rylee and Kamri. We are all seven years apart. I have two yorkies, a kitten, and a miniature pig named Annabelle (she's the best!)

I have played piano since I was seven years old and guitar since I was ten. As a result, audio production is another interest of mine. I am currently employed at RSU Radio as the traffic coordinator as well as the host of the top 10 countdown.

Back to the pig…I can talk about her all day long, so don't get me started.
She knows about 5 tricks such as sit, shake, spin, stand up, and kiss. Also, I hate when people say "I'm sweatin' like a pig over here!" Pigs don't sweat. I know this.

I am engaged to my best friend, Brandon. We plan on getting married in October (no specific date, yet). After that, we'll probably have lots of babies. As for my future plans, I hope to do something with either video editing or graphic design. I have always felt more comfortable behind a computer, using my imagination and creating something that I can show the world.

One more thing (last but definitely not least), I love Jesus more than anything and try to incorporate Him into anything I possibly can.

God Bless!
